This page has links to forms you may need for savings bonds.
Savings bonds, like EE, HH, and I bonds, cannot be "marketed." They cannot be bought and sold after you own them.
Other Treasury securities (without a letter designation like E, EE, H, HH, or I) can be sold after you buy them. And you buy them only at an auction. Thus, they are "marketable."

Some forms require a certified signature. If your form says you need that, wait to sign it until you are with the person who will certify your signature. Follow the instructions on the form about having your signature certified. For more about who can certify, see Signature certification.
If a form asks for legal evidence, such as a death certificate, be sure to include it. However, know that we cannot return what you send to us. A photocopy is fine as long as the stamp or seal is legible.
Some forms tell you to send the bonds with the form. Others tell you not to send in the bonds. Follow the instructions on the form.
If you are asking us to pay you for paper savings bonds, send the bonds with the form. You do not have to sign the back of the bonds.
